It seems as though money talks, and the deal has been struck up again. Activision and Sony did this as well for Destiny and were met with a ton of backlash. One of the biggest complaints brought up by gamers is that they are paying the same amount of money for the title regardless of system, only to have to wait an entire year to play the exclusive portion of the game. RELATED: Inside Xbox Will Return To Give Sony State Of Play Some Competition With the Modern Warfare franchise being rebooted, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to really highlight Survival Mode and make it a staple of the Modern Warfare series going forward. While this still could happen, it's off to a rocky start with it being announced as a timed exclusive for the Playstation 4. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is what truly kicked off the excitement for the game mode. Special Ops Survival Mode has been a fan favorite game type despite being featured (in slightly different ways) in only a handful of games throughout the franchise. That lead people to believe that the console wars could be coming to an end. This is an interesting development, as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is the first game in the franchise (and one of a handful of games overall) to support cross-platform play.
